VINEYARD: Pommard's Les Cras vineyard is located just below the famed Rugiens.
ORIENTATION: East-facing
SOIL: The iron-rich, red soils of Rugiens fanned out and made its way into Les Cras. Topsoil is deep before hitting limestone bedrock.
VINIFICATION: 1/3 whole cluster fermentation, 2/3 destemmed; long and late malolactic fermentation into October. Regarding sulfur, reds have the following: 45-65 mg/l total SO2, 20-25 mg/l free SO2.
AGING: Aged in barrel, 20% new
PRODUCTION: 2500 bottles
Drink: 2024+
