For years, Denis Larivierre sold his entire crop to the local co-op, the Cave de Tain. Following the death of one of his sons in a diving accident in 2006, he decided to join forces with a young French-Dutch couple, Marlene Durand and Mark Romak, and the result was the establishment in 2010 of Domaine Melody. Their “Premier “Regard” is from Syrah vines planted in 1972; it has lift and charm, with a spicy, minty nose, medium body, and is supple, fresh, and lively on the palate.
Today , the estate extends over 16.50 hectares in AOC Crozes-Hermitage in the Rhone Valley of the northern Rhône, in the municipality of Mercurol.
