Two worlds, two winemakers, one vision. After traveling through many winemaking regions of the world Cesar and Miguel met in Chile to realize they shared a common vision: to make wines from different vineyards in Chile and worldwide, using their combined skills and world experience.
Maipo Valley, Chile – Rising into the Andean foothills is Alto Maipo, the most prestigious of Maipo’s viticultural areas. The vineyard grows along the banks of the Maipo River at 2,000 feet above sea level. Broad variation between daytime and nighttime temperatures gives us an intense, fruit-forward Carménère. The top-soil is shallow sandy-silky with 75% rough stone. Aged in French Oak Barrels for 18 months
100% Carménère. Hand-harvested grapes are manually sorted at the winery; cold maceration in small stainless steel cubes for 5 days prior to fermentation, and again after fermentation for 6 days; then the wine is aged in small French Oak Barrels for 18 months, barrels that were used once before so as to now obtain a wine more fruit forward with less oak. Residual sugar: 2.8 g/l
