Vinitrio was set up by three winegrowing families, with over 40 years of experience, with the wines centred in and around the Languedoc - Roussillon wine region, with particular focus on the appellations of Minervois and Cabardes, Southern France. Frederic, Karine and Sebastien, they source and grow some of the best grapes within the region and produce wines such as Chatelain Ramel and Chateau 1804, as well as the Vinitrio range.
The parcels of fruit for the Vinitrio Malbec were sourced from vineyards, north-east of Carcassonne, in the Minervois Appellation, Languedoc-Roussillon wine region, Southern France. Harvested at optimum maturity, the grapes were de-stemmed, macerated and fermented in lined vats, prior to further pressing and Malolactic fermentation.
TASTING NOTES: The Southern French Malbec appears deep red with floral notes locked in with a mixture of red and black fruit, spiced and powerful on the nose. The palate is full and textured with ripe plum, violet and blackberry, mingled with warm spice, velvety soft, finishing rich.
FOOD PAIRING: Venison with a red wine reduction, baked potato and grilled zucchini. BBQ meat, roasts and cheeses.
