Christophe Mignon comes from a long line of farmers in the hamlet of Le-Mesnil-le-Huttier, prime Meunier territory in the Vallée de la Marne.
Mignon’s unique approach to viticulture, fondly referred to as the Mignon Method, combines natural practices including biodynamics, phytotherapy, homeopathy, and geobiology. The moon is his guiding force for all actions in the vineyard and cellar.
Philosopher and subdued bon vivant, Mignon believes Champagne is meant for true enjoyment, and there is much to enjoy in his exceptional lineup of vinous and textured wines made from Meunier. Thanks to him and a few committed colleagues, Meunier is overcoming its reputation as Champagne’s “underdog” grape variety.
