Fresh and vibrant, with juicy strawberry, cherry, and watermelon layered with delicate florals and subtle spice. Made from Cinsault with minimal intervention and natural fermentation, this expressive South African rosé is bright, refreshing, and beautifully food-friendly.
Kumusha Wines was founded in 2017 by Zimbabwean sommelier Tinashe Nyamudoka, whose journey into wine began after moving to South Africa. The name Kumusha means “your home,” “your roots,” or “your origin” in Shona, reflecting Tinashe's desire to create wines that honor their origins and his own Zimbabwean heritage.
The wines are made in collaboration with South African winemakers, with a minimal-intervention philosophy that allows the fruit and terroir to take center stage. For the 2025 Rosé, Cinsault grapes from Slanghoek in the Breedekloof receive only a few hours of skin contact before gentle pressing, followed by cool, natural fermentation. The wine then rests on its lees for about 2½ months, adding texture while preserving its vibrant freshness.
MINIMAL INTERVENTION.
