The main body of Fattoria Le Masse is located just outside the historic centre of Barberino Val d’elsa. Three-quarters of the company are under the title of Chianti Colli Fiorentini and a small part is made up of Chianti Classico.
Le Masse is currently going through a biological conversion towards Biodynamic agriculture. For several years now, they have abandoned the use of herbicides. This has given them the opportunity to use agronomic practices, such as natural grass growing and the use of green manure, aimed at preserving biodiversity. We strongly believe that this is one of the fundamental pillars of the fertility and health of the soil. The farm has ancient roots, situated in a dominant position over the valley that separates the plateau of Petrognano Barberino and San Donnino, where until the early 1200s stood the legendary city of Semifonte. Originally, the hill crossed a road connecting Via Cassia, the main street of Barberino and Via Francigena through the village of Semifonte.

AGING: Steel and concrete vats for 8 months, then in bottles for 6 months.
