A typical Zweigelt for many occasions, dark ruby red, spicy, vigorous aromas of sour cherries and pepper, hints of vanilla, soft tannins.

Being a wine grower is both our vocation and our commitment. It is our calling to produce wines with character and sustainably; it is our commitment to future generations. The distinctive character is shaped by several factors and methods, and these are responsible for the uniqueness of our wines. This is significantly influenced by the wine-growing region of Wagram and its grape varieties; yet specifically characterised by biodynamics.

The same quality does not grow everywhere that vines are planted. There are vineyards which consistently yield exceptional wines. There is always the essential combination of soil structure, rainfall, air exposition, height and temperatures. The vintners know exactly which sites are yielding wines with the utmost finesse, the richest character, the longest life. Based on these considerations, the Österreichische Traditionsweingüter (Association of Austrian Traditional Wine Estates) was founded in 1992 with the purpose of classifying the outstanding vineyard sites of Kamptal, Kremstal, Traisental and Wagram. 62 vineyard sites can carry the “Erste Lage” designation on the bottle label. This also requires that just the two most traditional grape varieties, Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, can be used for these wines, and these must be vinified in a dry style.

SUSTAINABLE. LOW SULFITE. BIODYNAMIC.
