The Zlatan Otok vineyards are spread between three locations: the southern slopes of the island Hvar, the Makarska vineyards below Mt. Biokovo, and vineyards in nearby Šibenik. The Hvar vineyards grow Pošip, Bogdanuša, Maraschino, and Yellow Muscat. In the Makarska vineyard they cultivate Plavac Mali, Crljenak (Zinfandel), Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. Their youngest vineyards in nearby Šibenik are made of Plavac Mali, Babić, Merlot, Maraština, Vugava, and a few rows reserved for experimenting with Viognier and Trebbiano. All of the vineyards are surrounded by fields of lavender, rosemary, and olive groves. The climate is a natural deterrent to pests and so no chemical intervention is needed. Since the founding of the company they have achieved success in a numerous national and international competitions and exhibitions – with the patriarch of the family, Zlatan Plenković, chosen three times as Croatian Winemaker of the Year.
A delicious and authentic expression of a white from the Dalmatian coastline in Croatia. An even blend of 4 indigenous grape varietals (Bogdanuša, Pošip, Maraština, and Prč), Zlatan's entry-level white is one of Croatia's screaming values!
