The nose shows subtle aromas of fig, cassis, and dark fruits while the mouth is rich with notes of chocolate and spices. Aromas of currants, berries and hints of fresh herbs. Full-bodied, juicy and lightly jammy.
The 2007 vintage has notes of earth, truffle, dark red fruit, and tobacco. The wine is getting better each vintage. This is ripe and generous, full of freshly minted tannins and layers of wood over the ripe berry fruit.
Intense mouthfeel, black currant, black cherry, plum, bittersweet chocolate notes, lively, mildly cloudy, approachable, very perky, dry finish.
Red plum, cherry, black currant, dark roast coffee, freshly picked green herbs, excellent structure; acid and tannins are all in balance with the fruit.
Black fruits, aromatic freshness, smooth, elegant, soft tannins, persistent finish.
A green note of tomato leaf and sage adds freshness to the currant and blackberry flavors at the core, with firm tannins and a spicy finish.
